The CSTO PA Executive Secretary Meets With the Plenipotentiary Representative of Tajikistan

On February 12, the CSTO PA Headquarters in St. Petersburg hosted a meeting between Sergei Pospelov, the CSTO Parliamentary Assembly Executive Secretary and Abdukhalil Gafurzoda, the Plenipotentiary Representative of the Majlisi Oli of the Republic of Tajikistan in the CSTO PA.

The participants discussed the work plan for 2024 and joint activities prospects of the Assembly with Tajik colleagues.

According to Sergei Pospelov, the issues of increased interaction on the academic component of the work on Model Acts were also discussed. At present, the cooperation agreements with a range of Tajik universities are being prepared for signing.

As you may recall, Abdukhalil Gafurzoda was appointed Plenipotentiary Representative of Majlisi Oli in the CSTO PA at the end of January 2024 by approval of Emomali Rahmon, President of Tajikistan.

Since 2019, Abdukhalil Gafurzoda has worked as Rector of the Academy of Public Administration under the President of the Republic of Tajikistan. He is also a member of the dissertation council at State Universities in St. Petersburg and Kyrgyzstan.
