On January 15, Alexander Lukashenko, President of the Republic of Belarus, met with Bakhtovar Safarzoda, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Tajikistan to Belarus.
Mr. Lukashenko suggested intensifying cooperation between Belarus and Tajikistan in the military-industrial complex and other areas.
"Let us intensify our relations. I will talk to Emomali Sharipovich (President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon. - Note) in the nearest future at the first opportunity to define the spheres of intensification in our relations. As an ambassador, you are a very active and promising diplomat, and I think you will contribute to the development of our relations," said the Belarusian leader.
In turn, Bakhtovar Safarzoda, Ambassador of Tajikistan to Belarus, conveyed to the Belarusian head of state a kind and friendly greeting from Emomali Rahmon, President of Tajikistan, and expressed gratitude for the meeting.
"We know you are a great friend of the Republic of Tajikistan and a sincere friend of our leader. Your friendship is a source of pride for us, diplomats, representatives of state authorities, and fraternal peoples of the two countries," the Ambassador emphasized.
Bakhtovar Safarzoda was appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Tajikistan to Belarus on May 31, 2023. Before, he worked as Plenipotentiary Representative of the Majlisi Oli of Tajikistan in the Parliamentary Assembly of the CSTO.
