Anatoly Vyborny: CSTO PA’s Main Goal is a Common Legal Security Field
Anatoly Vyborny, Member of the State Duma of the Russian Federation and Chairman of the CSTO PA Permanent Commission on Defence and Security, took part in the meeting of the Council of the CSTO Parliamentary Assembly, headed by Vyacheslav Volodin.
He noted that interparliamentary cooperation will continue strengthening equal and indivisible security in Eurasia.
"The new 2026-2030 CSTO PA Action Plan on Approximation and Harmonization of National Legislation of the CSTO Member States includes the development of 45 model legal acts. This year, the CSTO Parliamentary Assembly is celebrating its 20th anniversary. During this time, it has become a key part of the collective security system. Parliamentary cooperation between Member States has been established. Active, systematic work is carried out to harmonize national laws in the areas of defence, combating terrorism, drug control, cyber threats, and transnational crime," Anatoly Vyborny said.
He emphasized that over the years, the Assembly has developed and adopted 104 key model acts, including 17 model laws and agreements.
"As of today, the CSTO’s model legal framework on combating terrorism comprises 10 model acts directly aimed at countering terrorism and extremism, with 20 more documents addressing related issues in this area. Additionally, 15 documents have been adopted on information and digital security," Anatoly Vyborny reported.
