Anatoly Vyborny: Interest Towards the Parliamentary Dimension in the Eurasian Space is Growing
At the CSTO PA thematic session, held within the framework of the St. Petersburg International Legal Forum, experts discussed the development of model legislation in the CSTO area.
Anatoly Vyborny, deputy Chairman of the State Duma Committee on Security and Corruption Control, Head of the CSTO PA Council’s Expert Advisory Board on Defence and Security, spoke about the key trends in this field.
According to him, a single database of legal terms and concepts has been created in the CSTO, which allows the countries to speak "one legal language". The main directions of the new model legislation include countering illegal migration, cyber fraud and cross-border crime, as well as ensuring information and biological security and regulating cross-border use of unmanned aerial vehicles.
Vyborny noted that representatives of Iran and Brazil are becoming more and more actively involved in the work of the CSTO PA, paying special attention to the issues of environmental and economic security.
