On 14 February 14, the CSTO Crisis Response Centre hosted a briefing by Andrei Serdyukov, Colonel General and Chief of the Joint Staff of the Collective Security Treaty Organization, on “The main tasks of the joint training of the CSTO collective security system's management bodies and formations of forces and means for 2024”.
Representatives of the press of the defence departments and mass media of the CSTO Member States took part in the event via videoconference.
During the briefing, the Chief of the CSTO Joint Staff talked about the main trends in the military and political situation in the Organization's area of responsibility, the priorities of the Joint Staff's activities, and the set of measures planned as part of the joint operational and combat training of CSTO troops (Collective Forces) in 2024.
Among other things, the Chair of CSTO Joint Staff noted the efficient work in improving the Organization's legal framework.
As you may recall, representatives of the CSTO Parliamentary Assembly regularly take part in the activities of the Organization's Joint Staff, including joint exercises with the CSTO Collective Forces.
