Bekbolat Orynbekov: CEC’s statement about election preparedness is confirmed on site
Bekbolat Orynbekov, an international observer of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Collective Security Treaty Organization and a member of the Senate Committee on Finance and Budget of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan, noted that what was announced by the Central Commission on Elections and Referenda of the Kyrgyz Republic is being confirmed on site.
“This morning, our CSTO PA parliamentary group went to two polling stations,” Bekbolat Orynbekov said. “We checked that they are election-ready.”
The senator stressed that polling stations are equipped with diesel generators in case of emergency, and praised the overall preparations for voting, saying, “There are free-standing booths with equipment and necessary stationery. We are particularly pleased that there are special instructions in the Russian and Kyrgyz languages near each booth, where the lists of candidates in single-mandate districts are confirmed. And, in principle, for the two polling stations that we saw at the opening today, I would like to stress once again that the preparedness that was announced by the Central Election Commission is being confirmed on site.”
“During the day we work,” Bekbolat Orynbekov said, “then the leadership will gather our group conclusions and then we will make general conclusions and sum up the results.”
“I'd like to wish,” Bekbolat Orynbekov said, “that in the future, depending on the number of voters, more spacious voting premises would be selected ahead of time.”
