Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Cuba to the Russian Federation Gerardo PEÑALVER PORTAL: The CSTO Parliamentary Assembly is a model of cooperation that guides the international community.

It was very useful to participate in the twelfth plenary session of the CSTO Parliamentary Assembly, as it enabled us to provide the National Assembly of People’s Power (Parliament) of the Republic of Cuba with updated information on the work of the CSTO PA, the main items of its agenda and the progress made in cooperation among its Member States.
The work of the CSTO Parliamentary Assembly is of great interest to the Cuban Parliament: the study and knowledge of the process of harmonizing the national legislation of the CSTO Member States in such important areas as, primarily, the fight against terrorism and corruption, peacekeeping measures, the protection of state secrets and the fight against the spread of Nazism.
It is a model of cooperation that guides the international community.
We are very glad and grateful for the invitation to participate in the CSTO PA meeting in Yerevan and for being able to speak on behalf of Cuba at the plenary session. In the future, we will continue to participate in these meetings with great interest.​
