Emomali Rahmon Calls the Development of Relations with Russia a Foreign Policy Priority for Tajikistan
Emomali Rahmon, President of Tajikistan, said at a meeting with Mikhail Mishustin, Russian Prime Minister, that Moscow remained Dushanbe’s priority partner.
“The development of Tajik-Russian relations is a priority in Tajikistan's foreign policy. We will continue to make efforts to build up multifaceted interaction with the Russian Federation," the President of Tajikistan stressed.
As you may recall, the Tajik-Afghan border is the southern border of the CSTO common area of responsibility with Russia. As a founding member of the CSTO, the Republic of Tajikistan has made a significant contribution to the development and maintenance of collective security in the CSTO area of responsibility.
