Mukhtar Yerman, an observer from the CSTO Parliamentary Assembly, member of the CSTO PA Standing Commission on Political Affairs and International Cooperation and Secretary of the Committee on International Affairs, Defence and Security of the Mazhilis of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan, was present today at the opening of polling stations in Yerevan at the early election to the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia. According to him, the voting proceeds normally:
– My colleagues from the CSTO Parliamentary Assembly observer mission and I arrived at the polling stations in the 5th secondary school of Yerevan by the time of their opening.
The polling station opened on time and the voting started and is proceeding normally. We see a high level of preparedness of the electoral commission; we see that voter lists are presented at the polling stations, voter identification system is functioning and ballot papers are laid out.
I think that today’s extraordinary electoral process began, I repeat, in a normal operating mode. We plan to consolidate our impressions of the polling stations’ work by visiting more of them today before they close.
