On January 22, CSTO Secretary General Stanislav ZAS met with the Secretary of the Security Council of the Russian Federation Nikolai PATRUSHEV in Moscow.
The Security Council Secretary congratulated Stanislav ZAS on his appointment as Secretary General of the Collective Security Treaty Organization and expressed his readiness to provide every assistance to the CSTO Secretariat in addressing the challenges facing the Organization.
According to the Collective Security Treaty Organization press service, the interlocutors focused on the implementation of the priorities of the Russian Federation during its 2020 CSTO presidency, discussed the strengthening of the international role of the CSTO and the establishment of productive cooperation with international organizations and individual states.
“We discussed in detail the celebration events of the 75th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War that will be held in the CSTO format in accordance with the Plan approved at the meeting of the CSTO Collective Security Council in Bishkek on November 28 last year,” Mr ZAS said.
