The heads of the CSTO member states congratulated the President of the Republic of Belarus, Alexander Lukashenko, on his victory in the elections.
President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, congratulating his Belarusian counterpart by phone, noted that in Kazakhstan, Alexander Lukashenko is known as an outstanding political figure who has made a significant contribution to the development of Kazakh-Belarusian relations of friendship and strategic partnership.
President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sadyr Japarov also congratulated Alexander Lukashenko, highlighting the high level of trust and support that the Belarusian people have shown towards their leader.
Russian President Vladimir Putin wished Alexander Lukashenko new successes in his public service for the benefit of the fraternal Belarusian people, as well as good health and well-being.
Tajik President Emomali Rahmon also congratulated the Belarusian leader on his victory and high election results. In addition, the heads of state discussed cooperation in integration formats.
CSTO Secretary General Imangali Tasmagambetov also congratulated the President of Belarus on his victory in the elections and expressed confidence that under his leadership, the Republic of Belarus will continue to make a significant contribution to integration processes and strengthening stability in the vast Eurasian region.
As a reminder, Alexander Lukashenko received 86.82% of the vote in the Belarusian elections. A monitoring mission from the CSTO Parliamentary Assembly monitored the preparations and conduct of the elections.
