On March 8, heads of the CSTO Member States congratulated women on the holiday.
In his message, Nikol Pashinyan, Armenian Prime Minister, called the fulfillment of women's potential “the most important guarantee of the state's development.”
Aleksandr Lukashenko, President of the Republic of Belarus, has congratulated his women compatriots on Women's Day. He noted that on this day, every Belarusian home is filled with a special festive atmosphere and the aroma of spring flowers.
“This holiday is a great occasion to express immense gratitude to our women for surrounding your loved ones and friends with kindness, care and warmth,” reads the congratulatory message. "You are the embodiment of Belarus - beautiful, strong and aspiring to a happy future. You inspire us, men, to new achievements in the name of our country and to the implementation of the most daring ideas and plans."
Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, pointed out the exceptional role of women in the history of the state.
“It is gratifying to see many of our women compatriots serve as paragons of heroism and patriotism. Their names are inscribed in golden letters in the annals of the state's history. The names of glorious rulers Tomyris and Bopai Khanum, legendary mothers Domalak Ana, Zere and Ulpan, as well as heroic daughters of the Great Steppe Aliya, Manshuk and Khiuaz will forever remain in the memory of the people”, noted the President of the Republic.
According to Sadyr Japarov, President of the Republic of Kyrgyzstan, the 2030 state program to promote women's leadership is being implemented in the state. The program will create all conditions for “unlocking women's potential, strengthening their economic independence and expanding opportunities for career growth.”
In his congratulatory message, Vladimir Putin, President of the Russian Federation, emphasized that women inspire men to do wonderful things.
“Dear women! We know that a lot of things in life depend on you, on your talents, creative energy, love and ultimate responsibility that you manifest taking on any task. I repeat, we always admire your beauty, tenderness and charm,” the Russian leader said.
Talking about the importance of women's role, Emomali Rahmon, President of Tajikistan, pointed out that at the recent elections to the Parliament, 18 women were elected as deputies to the Majlisi Namoyandagon and 747 to local parliaments.
“This is more than in previous elections, and we are proud of that. In 2020-2024 alone, 121 talented women have been appointed to leadership positions as a result of the direct support of the national government,” the President said.
Vyacheslav Volodin, Chairman of the CSTO Parliamentary Assembly and Chairman of the State Duma of the Russian Federation, also congratulated women on International Women's Day.
“It is unlikely that humankind could achieve so much without women. There would be nothing at all,” Vyacheslav Volodin said in a video message published on his Telegram channel.
