The dialogue with Armenia on its membership in the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) is ongoing, said Aleksandr Pankin, deputy Foreign Minister of Russia, in an interview to RIA Novosti.
“We always hope for the best. We are in a dialogue... with Yerevan [within the CSTO - Ed.] on all agendas: bilateral, regional and international,” Mr. Pankin noted.
As you may recall, in February 2024, Nikol Pashinyan, Armenian Prime Minister, declared that the Republic had frozen its participation in the CSTO. And on January 21, 2025,
Sergei Lavrov, Russian Foreign Minister, said that the communication pause between Russia and Armenia had been overcome. He shared this news after the meeting with Ararat Mirzoyan, his Armenian counterpart, in Moscow.
