CSTO PA observers are guided by the main principle: that of political neutrality, objectivity and non-interference in the electoral process of the Republic of Armenia.
Kanybek Imanaliev, coordinator of the international observers from the Parliamentary Assembly of the Collective Security Treaty Organization and deputy Chairman of the Committee on International Affairs, Defence and Security of the Jogorku Kenesh of the Kyrgyz Republic, said this at a briefing at the Central Electoral Commission of the Republic of Armenia. According to him, during the meetings with the representatives of election headquarters of all political entities taking part in the election, the leadership of the Parliament of the Republic of Armenia and the Central Electoral Commission, the CSTO PA observers had an opportunity to ascertain that the authorized bodies have taken all measures to conduct the early election in an orderly and transparent way so that “all parties and blocs running for the early election to the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia are provided with equal campaigning opportunities.”
Kanybek Imanaliev noted that according to estimations of representatives of political forces with whom CSTO PA observers met, the election turnout will be high, while the election itself will go “smoothly, in compliance with the electoral legislation of the Republic of Armenia, and the voters will make a choice for the benefit of the future of the republic.”
