The heads of Kazakhstan and Tajikistan held closed talks in Astana on August 25.
The leader of Kazakhstan noted the successful implementation of the Declaration on Allied Cooperation Between Kazakhstan and Tajikistan signed during Emomali Rahmon’s visit to Kazakhstan in May.
“The Kazakh soil is particularly welcoming to its brotherly Tajik people. Kazakhstanis want to know better modern Tajikistan, strive for a deeper understanding of the rich culture of the Tajik people. Therefore, your timely initiative to organize such large-scale events has found a positive response among the residents and guests of Kazakhstan. It is symbolic that this significant event is held in the year of the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between our countries,” Kassym-Jomart Tokayev said.
The parties noted the dynamic development of bilateral relations in all spheres.
“It is gratifying that the relations between our countries today enjoy a high level of mutual understanding, mutual respect and trust. Their further expansion remains an unconditional priority of Tajikistan’s foreign policy,” Emomali Rahmon emphasised.
During the conversation, the parties discussed prospects for further cooperation between the two CSTO Member States in various spheres.
