Kassym-Jomart Tokayev expressed Kazakhstan’s readiness to strengthen political cooperation within the CSTO framework
On March 10 this year, at Akorda residence in Nur-Sultan, President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev met with CSTO Secretary General Stanislav Zas.
According to the press service of the Collective Security Treaty Organization, the Secretary General informed the Kazakh leaders of the current state and development prospects of the CSTO.
The meeting addressed a wide range of issues related to the key areas of the Organization’s activities.
Stanislav Zas also reported on the work being carried out by the CSTO Secretariat on the implementation of the Kazakh President’s initiative to establish a position of the Special Representative of the CSTO Secretary General for Peacekeeping Issues.
Kassym-Jomart Tokayev made a number of proposals for the future development of the Organization, noting Kazakhstan’s readiness to further strengthen political cooperation within the CSTO and expand its potential.
