On October 7, a meeting of the CSTO PA Permanent Commission on Defence and Security took place in St. Petersburg, chaired by Anatoly Vyborny, Chairman of the Commission and deputy Chairman of the State Duma Committee on Security and Corruption Control.
Representatives of the CSTO Member States and experts on international law and security took part in the commission's work.
Anatoly Vyborny stressed the importance of the commission's approval of the Draft Agreement on Cooperation Between the CSTO Member States on Use of New Types of Weapons and Technologies.
"The adoption of the Agreement on Cooperation Between CSTO Member States on Use of New Types of Weapons and Technologies will pave the way for establishing effective organizational and legal mechanisms to ensure the further development of the national and regional security system of the CSTO Member States," Anatoly Vyborny pointed out.
The meeting participants also discussed the ratification progress of international treaties signed within the framework of the CSTO, the draft Recommendations on Harmonization of Criminal Legislation of CSTO Member States, reviewed the implementation progress of the CSTO PA 2021-2025 Action Plan and the draft CSTO PA 2026-2030 Action Plan, as well as draft Action Plan of the CSTO Parliamentary Assembly for 2026 and the event schedule for the 20th anniversary of the foundation of the CSTO PA.
