CSTO PA Coordinator Rustam Shokhmurod: Morning Opening Procedures Strictly Observed
Today, on the first day of elections for deputies to the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation, international observers from the CSTO Parliamentary Assembly began monitoring the electoral process as soon as the polling stations opened.
Rustam Shokhmurod, coordinator of the CSTO PA observer mission and representative of the Republic of Tajikistan, visited a number of polling stations in the Russian capital this morning and spoke highly of the level of preparation and the work of the election commissions.
"Members of our mission were following the process right from the opening of the polling stations. Based on our observations, I can state with complete confidence that the standard procedures for opening stations in the morning were strictly adhered to. The inspection and sealing of ballot boxes, the testing of equipment, and the handling of documentation were all carried out in full accordance with the current electoral legislation of the Russian Federation," said Rustam Shokhmurod.
According to the CSTO PA mission, the morning voting session is proceeding smoothly, with no violations. The coordinator also noted that a large number of national and international observers are working at the polling stations.
