Lavrov: Harmonization of Integration Processes is Gaining Momentum in Eurasia
In his speech at the general debate of the 78th session of the UN General Assembly in New York on September 23, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said that “harmonization of integration processes” within the CSTO, SCO, CIS and other organizations was gaining momentum in the Eurasian space.
“There is a natural formation of the Greater Eurasian Partnership, open to the participation of all associations and countries of our common continent without exception,” Mr Lavrov stressed.
The head of the Russian Foreign Ministry noted that the UN reform should be supported by associations of a new type, “where there are no leaders and followers, teachers and students, and all issues are solved based on consensus and balance of interests.”
As you may recall, on May 18 in Minsk, Vyacheslav Volodin, Chairman of the CSTO Parliamentary Assembly, stressed that all decisions of the CSTO PA Council are consensus-based, which is of particular importance for the Organization.
