Heads of the Collective Security Treaty Organization Member States confirmed the appointment of Stanislav ZAS, the representative of Belarus, as CSTO Secretary General from January 1, 2020, Acting CSTO Secretary General Valery SEMERIKOV said at the summit of the Collective Security Treaty Organization in Bishkek on November 28. “Today, the heads of states congratulated Stanislav ZAS on assuming the post of CSTO Secretary General starting January 1, 2020,” the Acting Secretary General said, as reported by RIA Novosti. A session of the CSTO Collective Security Council (CSC) was held on Thursday in Bishkek under the chairmanship of the President of the Kyrgyz Republic SOORONBAY JEENBEKOV. It was attended by Nikol PASHINYAN, Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia; Alexander LUKASHENKO, President of the Republic of Belarus, Kasym-Jomart TOKAYEV, President of the Republic of Kazakhstan; Vladimir PUTIN, President of the Russian Federation; and Emomali RAHMON, President of the Republic of Tajikistan.
