International Forum on Collective Security to be Held in Moscow
The International Forum on Collective Security, held as part of Russia's chairmanship of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) in 2026, will take place in Moscow. The corresponding decree was signed by Vladimir Putin, President of the Russian Federation.
Decree of the President of the Russian Federation No. 11 of January 1, 2026, "On the Organizing Committee for the preparation and conduct of the International Forum on Collective Security and other events within the framework of the Russian Federation's chairmanship of the Collective Security Treaty Organization in 2026"has beenpublished on the official legal information website.
By the same decree, the forum's Organizing Committee was established, with Alexei Overchuk, deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation, appointed as its Chairman.
As you may recall, holding the International Forum on Collective Security in Moscow is one of the priorities of Russia's chairmanship of the CSTO in 2026. The Forum is organized at the earlier initiative of the Russian President Vladimir Putin, introduced at the session of the CSTO Collective Security Council in Bishkek, where the key areas of Russia's chairmanship were outlined.
Not only CSTO Member States, but also representatives of friendly countries, multilateral structures, and integration associations will be able to participate in the forum, which is dedicated to the formation of an architecture of equal and indivisible security in Eurasia.
