Dastanbek Djumabekov: CSTO PA model laws and recommendations are used in the preparation of laws of the Kyrgyz Republic
This was announced by Dastanbek Djumabekov, Toraga of the Jogorku Kenesh of the Kyrgyz Republic, during a meeting of the Council of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Collective Security Treaty Organization, which was held on June 15 remotely.
“The organization has played an enormous role in approximating, harmonizing and improving the laws of our states and has also been able to develop and adopt a series of model laws and recommendations that have undoubtedly become useful versatile tools.
The Kyrgyz Republic’s legislation also uses model laws and recommendations adopted by the Parliamentary Assembly of the CSTO when drafting new and amending existing laws, thus confirming their relevance,” Mr Djumabekov said.
“Importantly, these laws are aimed at resolving social issues, observing human rights and freedoms, cross-border and military technical cooperation and addressing security matters,” said the Toraga of the Jogorku Kenesh of the Kyrgyz Republic.
Mr Djumabekov noted, “therefore, we consider it necessary to continue active cooperation, consistently stepping up our efforts to harmonize national laws.”
