President of the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia supported the initiative of the UN Secretary-General on ceasefire in conflict zones
As the President of the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia Ararat Mirzoyan noted at the meeting of the Council of the CSTO Parliamentary Assembly, the fight against the coronavirus pandemic, from which all countries suffer, should become an opportunity for peoples’ reconciliation.
“The coronavirus pandemic has radically changed the life as we know it,” recalled Ararat Mirzoyan.
In his speech, the President of the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia actively supported the initiative of the UN Secretary General on observing the ceasefire regime and reviewing sanctions in all conflict zones.
“The fight against the epidemic should become an opportunity for peoples’ reconciliation; I agree, as does everyone, I think, with the UN Secretary-General,” said Mr Mirzoyan.
The President of the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia expressed confidence that “our joint work will continue to be fruitful and the Council meetings will further increase the effectiveness of inter-parliamentary partnership between the CSTO Member States.”
