On March 1, 2021, the Parliamentary Centre (St Petersburg, 53 Shpalernaya st.) hosted a partially remote meeting of the Expert Advisory Board under the Council of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Collective Security Treaty Organization, chaired by Anatoly Vyborny, a member of the State Duma Committee of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation and Chairman of the CSTO PA Expert Advisory Board.
Thirteen issues on the agenda were considered.
The meeting participants approved a CSTO draft model law On Peacekeeping Activities and Peacekeeping Forces. The draft was sent for review to the CSTO PA Standing Commission on Defence and Security.
The draft Recommendations on Regulating the Circulation of Virtual Assets on the Territories of the CSTO Member States (Combating the Spread of Cryptocurrencies and Other Electronic Payment Surrogates Undermining (Destroying) National Financial Systems) were approved – with its title clarified – and sent for consideration to the CSTO PA Standing Commission on Socio-Economic and Legal Issues.
