Nasrullo Mahmudzoda: Military and Technical Capabilities Show CSTO Is Ready to Face Any Threat
On October 16, members of the Coordination Meeting of Chairpersons of Committees on Defence and Security of the Parliaments of the CSTO Member States observed the Nerushimoye bratstvo-2026 command-and-staff exercise.
The CSTO Parliamentary Assembly delegation inspected the Peacekeeping Forces' positions at the Losvido training ground in Belarus.
During the visit, delegation members held working meetings with the exercise leadership and familiarized themselves thoroughly with the equipment, communications systems and weapons used by the joint peacekeeping force.
Summing up the inspection of the equipment and infrastructure, Nasrullo Mahmudzoda, Chairman of the Committee on Law and Order, Defence and Security of the Majlisi Namoyandagon of the Majlisi Oli of the Republic of Tajikistan, praised the allied units' combat potential.
"Rewiewing the latest models of weapons and equipment of the CSTO Peacekeeping Forces gives us confidence in the Organization's military and technical capabilities. What we saw today at the training ground shows that our units are fully prepared to respond promptly to modern threats and carry out tasks of any complexity," Mahmudzoda said.
The obtained data will serve as the basis for further legislative work. Parliamentarians are to draw on the practical experience gained from the exercises to improve the legal framework for military security in the CSTO Member States, removing logistical and bureaucratic barriers to the deployment of peacekeeping contingents.
