Nikol Pashinyan: CSTO was, is and will be an important factor in ensuring security and stability in the region
“Today’s CSTO anniversary summit is not just about the anniversary itself, as the situation in the CSTO area of responsibility is rather tense,” Nikol Pashinyan, Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia, said in his speech at the meeting of CSTO leaders dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the Collective Security Treaty and the 20th anniversary of the CSTO.
He thanked Vladimir Putin for the peacekeeping operation in Nagorno-Karabakh and reaffirmed Armenia’s commitment to the trilateral statements of November 9, 2020 as well as the trilateral statements of January 11 and November 26, 2021. “Armenia, as a founding member of the Collective Security Treaty Organization, is committed to the further development of the Organization and considers it a key factor for stability and security in the Eurasian region, as well as for the security of the Republic of Armenia, and is determined to fully support the Organization in its further development,” Nikol Pashinyan said.
