Nikol Pashinyan: Strengthening of the Organization’s crisis response mechanisms is one of the priorities of our presidency in the CSTO
“The current situation in the Republic of Kazakhstan particularly concerns and worries us in view of the information about the involvement of international terrorist groups,” said Nikol Pashinyan, Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia, in his speech at an extraordinary meeting of the Collective Security Treaty Organization’s Collective Security Council.
“In the recent past, we ourselves faced the emergence of foreign terrorist fighters in our region. We hope that the CSTO’s efforts aimed at assisting friendly Kazakhstan will contribute to the restoration of normal life in the country in the shortest time possible,” said the Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia.
Nikol Pashinyan stressed that among the key priorities of the Republic of Armenia’s presidency in the Collective Security Treaty Organization in 2022 is the strengthening of the Organization’s crisis response mechanisms. “With that in mind, we anticipate that the CSTO Member States will enhance joint efforts aimed at further improvement of these mechanisms, which will undoubtedly promote cooperation among the Member States and strengthen the relevant structures and mechanisms of the Organization,” stressed Nikol Pashinyan.
Nikol Pashinyan stated that “there is a high level of mutual understanding between our countries regarding the situation in Kazakhstan. There is a clear focus of our actions to stabilize the situation as soon as possible and return the country to normal life,” stressed the Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia.
