CSTO spetsnaz tactical training held in the Kyrgyz Republic

A tactical training of representatives of special forces (spetsnaz) of the national security agencies of the CSTO Member States was held in the Kyrgyz Republic.
Representatives of spetsnaz of the Republic of Armenia, Republic of Belarus, Republic of Kazakhstan, Kyrgyz Republic, Russian Federation and Republic of Tajikistan took part in the training.
“As part of cooperation in the 2022 joint training of command bodies and formations of forces and assets of the CSTO collective security system, a training centre of the State Committee for National Security of the Kyrgyz Republic will host a tactical training of national security forces of the CSTO States from August 1 to 2,” TASS reports with reference to the press centre of the SCNS of the Kyrgyz Republic.
“Such joint training activities demonstrate a shared understanding that cooperation is needed at international and regional levels to counter new challenges and threats in the CSTO area of responsibility,” reads the official statement.
As you may recall, a special tactical training exercise Cobalt 2022 involving special forces of the CSTO Collective Rapid Reaction Force was launched on August 3 at the Edelweiss training range and will continue until August 5.
