Kazakh parliamentarians awarded by the CSTO Parliamentary Assembly

On the eve of the 30th Independence Day of the Republic of Kazakhstan, members of the Senate and Mazhilis of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan were given state awards for their services “to the state and the public and for considerable contribution to strengthening the friendship and cooperation between peoples.”
A number of senators and deputies of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan were also given awards of the CSTO Parliamentary Assembly.
Maulen Ashimbayev, Chairman of the Senate of the Parliament of Kazakhstan, awarded the CSTO PA Medals to deputies Nurzhan Nursipatov, Andrei Lukin and Talgat Musabayev.
In a solemn ceremony, Nurlan Nigmatulin, Chairman of the Mazhilis of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan, awarded the CSTO PA Medal to Arman Kozhakhmetov, a deputy of the Mazhilis of the Parliament of Kazakhstan, and the CSTO PA Certificate of Merit to Yerlik Taizhanov.
As you may recall, the CSTO PA Medal and the Certificate of Merit are awarded to “state and public figures, citizens of the CSTO States and other countries ‘for active work on the development of interparliamentary cooperation between the CSTO Member States and active participation in activities of the CSTO PA and its bodies.’”
On December 16, 2021 the Republic of Kazakhstan will celebrate the 30th anniversary of its independence.
