13 Agreements and Memorandums Signed Following Japarov’s Visit to Dushanbe
On July 8, as part of the state visit of Sadyr Japarov, President of Kyrgyzstan, to Tajikistan, a signing and exchange of documents ceremony took place.
Sadyr Japarov, President of Kyrgyzstan, and Emomali Rahmon, President of Tajikistan, signed a joint statement. They also signed the Agreement between the Kyrgyz Republic and Tajikistan on Confidence-Building Measures, the Agreement between the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic and the Government of Tajikistan on the establishment of the Kyrgyz-Tajik Intergovernmental Council, the Program of Cooperation between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of both countries for 2026-2027, and a number of other documents.
At the meeting, the participants touched upon the issues of combating terrorism, extremism and illegal drug trafficking.
In addition, the heads of the Republics expressed satisfaction with the finalization of delimitation of the state border between the two CSTO Member States.
As you may recall, Sadyr Japarov's official visit to Tajikistan is taking place at the invitation of Emomali Rahmon, President of the Republic, and is scheduled for July 8-9.
