Chairpersons of the Defence and Security Committees of the Parliaments of the CSTO Member States Hold a Coordination Meeting in Minsk

Today, on September 5, Minsk hosts a session of the Coordination Meeting of Chairpersons of Committees on Defence and Security of the Parliaments of the CSTO Member States under the CSTO PA Council.

The meeting is attended by representatives of the Ministry of Defence and the State Security Committee of the Republic of Belarus, the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Belarus, the State Border and Customs Committees of the Republic of Belarus, the CSTO Secretariat and Joint Staff, and the Secretariat of the CSTO Parliamentary Assembly. 

On Wednesday of September 6, members of the Coordination Meeting will take part as observers in the joint exercise Vzaimodeystviye 2023 with the CSTO CRRF.

Colonel-General Anatoliy Sidorov, Chief of the CSTO Joint Staff, noted that this was a planned exercise and was not directed against other countries.
