“Under the current circumstances, we see the following fundamental goals for Belarus’ presidency. On the inside, it is to increase the solidarity between the CSTO Member States. These are the fundamental objectives: to increase our solidarity, reduce tensions and resolve contradictions in order to strengthen the Organization itself and ensure security and stability in its area of responsibility,” BelTA quotes Aleksandr Lukashenko as saying.
According to the President of Belarus, during its presidency, the country aims to strengthen the role and importance of the CSTO in the system of international relations. He urged the Member States not only to protect each other, but to become united spiritually, as well as to be able to clearly respond to the information and psychological operations actively used by the West.
Aleksandr Lukashenko also expressed his concern about the presence of biolaboratories in the CSTO Member States and suggested holding a meeting of the Coordinating Council of the Authorized Bodies of the CSTO Member States on Biological Security in Belarus.
