On September 24 in Moscow, under the leadership of Andrey Khrapov, Deputy-Minister of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation and Police Colonel-General, heads of specialized departments of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs met with the delegation of the Tajik Ministry of Internal Affairs, headed by Abdurahmon Alamshozoda, first deputy Minister of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan and Militia Lieutenant General.
During the event, they discussed bilateral cooperation in combating conventional crime and extremism, illegal migration, as well as illicit trafficking of drugs and psychotropic substances. The participants also addressed the issue of tracking down persons hiding from law enforcement bodies. The meeting was held in a friendly and constructive atmosphere.
The participants praised the level of cooperation between Russia and Tajikistan in the law enforcement area and outlined the prospects for its further development.
As you may recall, representatives of law enforcement bodies of the CSTO Member States are part of the Expert Advisory Board under the Council of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Collective Security Treaty Organization and they actively participate in the development of suggestions to amend the national legislation of the CSTO Member States in the spheres of the Organization's activities, including the fight against terrorism, illegal migration and drug trafficking.
