Aleksandr Lukashenko, Presidents of Belarus, and Vladimir Putin, President of the Russian Federation, discussed the issues of creating a common defense space and security of the Union State during a meeting at the Vostochny cosmodrome, according to TASS.
“We analysed measures to protect the western borders, as well as the progress of military-technical cooperation, and clarified plans for joint exercises,” TASS quoted the President of the Russian Federation.
Earlier in the meeting, according to the kremlin.ru website, the President of the Russian Federation noted among the topics discussed “the creation of a new satellite for high-precision Earth sensing, the future joint work on plasma engines that can be used, which is a very promising topic, and, of course, the construction of the cosmodrome itself.” “We need good builders, competent and with good technological capabilities. Thanks to your efforts all this has been preserved in Belarus and can be used for solving common tasks which will undoubtedly benefit the development of our economies and high technologies in our countries," said the President of the Russian Federation.
The President of the Russian Federation informed the President of the Republic of Belarus about the development of the special military operation in Donbas and the progress in the negotiation process between Moscow and Kiev.
“Overall, today we have worked through [issues] practically in all areas of our interaction. The President of Belarus is to visit Vladivostok.
