Delegation of the Supreme Assembly of the Republic of Tajikistan to the CSTO PA consists of 6 deputies of the National Assembly of the Supreme Assembly of the Republic of Tajikistan and 6 deputies of the Assembly of Representatives of the Supreme Assembly of the Republic of Tajikistan.
An award ceremony took place in a Kyrgyz military unit whose servicemen successfully accomplished tasks to stabilize and normalize the situation in the Republic of Kazakhstan, acting as part of the CSTO peacekeeping forces. Baktybek Bekbolotov, Minister of Defence of the Kyrgyz Republic, attended the ceremony, Kabar news agency reports.
In his speech, Mr Bekbolotov praised the high level of military training and discipline of military personnel who fulfilled tasks as part the CSTO peacekeeping forces on the territory of the neighbouring republic.
Members of Kyrgyzstan’s peacekeeping contingent were ceremoniously awarded valuable gifts on behalf of the Head of State.
The event ended with a solemn march.
As you may recall, in January 2022, peacekeeping forces of CSTO Member States guarded and defended particularly important and strategic facilities in Kazakhstan. Kyrgyz servicemen were tasked to protect Almaty CHP-2 power plant.
