Russians celebrate Constitution Day

On December 12, Russians celebrate Constitution Day, the country’s basic law. The current Constitution of the Russian Federation was adopted by popular vote 28 years ago. The state holiday was established by the decree of the Russian President Boris Yeltsin of September 19, 1994. On July 21, 2005 the Constitution Day was included in the list of memorable dates in Russia.
Since 2022, four new regions have joined the Russian Federation, which was enshrined in the Constitution of our state. Now residents of the DPR, LPR, Zaporozhye and Kherson regions became full citizens of Russia.
