“The Russian government has decided to provide humanitarian aid to Kazakhstan to fight the coronavirus pandemic. I express my gratitude to Russia’s top leadership for the timely delivery of drugs and medication,” Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, wrote on his Twitter page on Wednesday.
According to TASS, the press service of the government of the Republic of Kazakhstan after a telephone conversation between Prime Ministers Mikhail Mishustin and Askar Mamin on Tuesday released a statement that “the Russian side expressed its readiness to provide humanitarian aid to Kazakhstan in the form of drugs and test systems with consumables, as well as sending experts to deploy infectious-disease hospitals and virological laboratories in Kazakhstan.
Let us recall that according to Kazinform news agency, on July 2 a State Commission meeting chaired by Askar Mamin, Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan, considered measures to stabilize the epidemiological situation in Kazakhstan, in accordance with instructions of President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev.
Given the aggravation of the epidemiological situation and the growing coronavirus incidence in Kazakhstan, the State Commission decided to introduce a number of restrictions for 14 days, starting from July 5.
According to Kazinform, more than 41 thousand coronavirus cases were confirmed in the Republic of Kazakhstan, more than 13.5 thousand patients recovered, 188 fatal cases were registered.
