Russian Servicemen Repulse a Drill SRG Attack on Military Facilities in Tajikistan
The servicemen of Russia's 201st military base counter-terrorism unit based in Tajikistan held counter-terrorism military exercises, practicing repulsing a simulated enemy's sabotage and reconnaissance group (SRG) attack on military facilities.
According to the training scenario, the SRG attempted to breach forced entry-resistant construction and enter the base territory in order to sabotage weapons and ammunition depots. The guard duty shift promptly initiated efforts to hold off the enemy and reported the attack to the command center.
After raising the alarm, servicemen of the anti-terrorist unit were alerted. Under the cover of crews of armored personnel carriers BTR-82A, motorized rifle units stopped the simulated enemy from advancing further. To eliminate the armed group, the base of fire (BOF) force was engaged. The BOF used FPV drones. Operators of unmanned aerial vehicles provided reconnaissance and directed the units' actions.
As you may recall, the 201st military base located in Dushanbe and Bokhtar is the largest Russian military facility outside the country.
