Russian Servicemen in Armenia Held Anti-Terrorist Training

Russian servicemen of the special forces unit of the Southern Military District military base in Armenia repulsed an attack of a simulated enemy as part of a comprehensive counter-terrorism training.

During the event, a simulated sabotage and reconnaissance group “attacked” the unit's checkpoint. Special forces servicemen disarmed the simulated enemy forces using standard weapons and armored vehicles. 

As part of the training, the duty unit personnel of the military base practiced engineering reconnaissance of the area using mine detectors and tracker dogs. Simulation devices, smoke and blank ammunition were used to make combat situation as realistic as possible.
