Ruslan Rustemov, observer from the CSTO Parliamentary Assembly at the presidential election in the Russian Federation, deputy of the Senate of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan, shared his impressions of the presidential election in Russia.
"On behalf of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Collective Security Treaty Organization we carried out a short-term observation mission during the presidential election in the Russian Federation.
We visited a number of polling stations in Moscow and the Moscow region. It is worth noting that a calm atmosphere prevailed during the voting process; everything was organized at a high level," Ruslan Rustemov reported.
He also noted that all conditions were created for citizens with disabilities to vote.
"In addition, we witnessed the active participation of volunteers," added the member of the CSTO PA monitoring mission.
Ruslan Rustemov emphasized that the elections were held in accordance with the procedures established by the Russian legislation.
"I would also like to state that the election process in Russia was characterized by very active participation of both presidential candidates and voters, and the results will reflect the will of the people of the Russian Federation," the observer concluded.
