Ruslan Zhaksylykov: Kazakhstan Benefits from Participation in CSTO and SCO
In an interview with Tengrinews.kz, Ruslan Zhaksylykov, Minister of Defence of the Republic of Kazakhstan, stated that Kazakhstan benefits from participation in the CSTO and the SCO.
"These two powerful organizations seek to ensure peace and harmony in our regions, contributing to the development of our states. It is beneficial for us, and our head of state understands these missions. We are expanding cooperation within the framework of these two organizations," said Ruslan Zhaksylykov.
As you may recall, in 2024, the Collective Security Treaty Organization is chaired by the Republic of Kazakhstan. On June 3, Almaty hosted the meeting of the Council of the CSTO Parliamentary Assembly, discussing harmonization of legislation and measures to counter challenges and threats to the security of the CSTO Member States. In late November, Almaty will host a meeting of the Collective Security Council, which will be attended by presidents of the CSTO Member States.
