Rustam Shokhmurod was elected Chairman of the Сoordination Meeting of Chairpersons of Committees on Defence and Security of the Parliaments of the CSTO Member States

The Council of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Collective Security Treaty Organization unanimously supported the proposal by Sergei Pospelov, Executive Secretary of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Collective Security Treaty Organization, to appoint Rustam Shokhmurod, Chairman of the Committee on Defence and Security of the Majlisi Namoyandagon of the Majlisi Oli of the Republic of Tajikistan, as Chairman of the Coordination Meeting of Chairpersons of Committees (Commissions) on Defence and Security of the Parliaments of the CSTO Member States under the Council of the CSTO Parliamentary Assembly.

The candidacies of deputy chairpersons of the CSTO PA Standing Committees were also approved.

Farhod Rahimi, Chairman of the Committee on Coordination of Activities of the Majlisi Milli with the Majlisi Namoyandagon, Executive Authorities, Public Associations, Mass Media and Interparliamentary Relations of the Majlisi Milli of the Majlisi Oli of the Republic of Tajikistan was appointed deputy Chairman of the Standing Commission on Political Affairs and International Cooperation of the CSTO Parliamentary Assembly; Muradyl Mademinov, a member of the Budget and Finance Committee of the Jogorku Kenesh of the Kyrgyz Republic, was appointed deputy Chairman of the Standing Commission on Socioeconomic and Legal Issues of the CSTO Parliamentary Assembly.
