The results of the operational mobilization meeting of the Central Military District command were summed up in Ekaterinburg.
That made this meeting special was the fact that it gathered more than 20 senior military officials of the Collective Security Treaty Organization Member States: the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Kyrgyz Republic, as well as military personnel from the Republic of Uzbekistan.
According to the press service of the Central Military District, meeting organizers focused on the study of the practical use of military formations and units, taking into account the experience of the Tsentr 2019 tabletop exercise and modern armed conflicts.
As Colonel General Aleksandr Lapin, commander of the district troops, noted, “Over 70 joint international activities were held in 2019. Twelve of them were held as part of joint exercises, which is 20% more than the total figure for 2018. The crowning achievement of the general training of the troops (forces) was the Unbreakable Brotherhood 2019 joint exercise that was held in the Republic of Tajikistan.”
According to Colonel General Aleksandr Lapin, commander of the Central Military District, this was a large-scale meeting, and now the district command is evaluating the feedback gathered from meeting participants to include it in subsequent combat training events.
