On December 9 Russia celebrates Heroes of the Fatherland Day

On December 9, Russia celebrates Heroes of the Fatherland Day, dedicated to people who have shown exceptional courage and received the highest state awards.

This significant date brings everyone together to celebrate the ideals of courage, self-sacrifice and unwavering love for the Fatherland. 

As you may recall, in the Russian Federation 2025 has been declared the Year of the Defender of the Fatherland.

Today, a reception is taking place in the St. George Hall of the Kremlin to celebrate the occasion. Servicemen and civilians who have demonstrated exceptional courage will attend the event, including Heroes of the Soviet Union, Heroes of the Russian Federation and holders of the highest military awards.
