Sergei Lavrov and Sirojiddin Mukhriddin to discuss Russia–Tajikistan cooperation in the CSTO, CIS and SCO
During an official visit to Moscow by Sirojiddin Mukhriddin, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan, and his meeting with Sergei Lavrov, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation, “special attention will be paid to trade, economic, cultural and humanitarian cooperation, defence and security, migration policy, personnel training, joint biosecurity measures, including epidemiological challenges, and information security,” Sputnik.tj reported with reference to Maria Zakharova, spokeswoman of the Russian Foreign Ministry.
The parties will discuss the schedule of meetings and events at the highest and high levels until the end of 2022.
In addition, Sergei Lavrov and Sirojiddin Mukhriddin will discuss current issues on the bilateral agenda.
There are plans to sign a programme of cooperation between the foreign ministries of the two countries for 2022–2023.
An exchange of views on the situation in Afghanistan is envisaged.
