Sergei Shoigu: Regional Problems Require Regional Solutions
Moscow hosted a meeting between the Secretaries of the Security Councils of CIS states. Sergei Shoigu, Secretary of the Russian Security Council, said that the situation in the war zone is not favorable for Ukraine.
“Now, when the situation in the theater of war is not favorable for the Kiev regime, the West is faced with a choice: to continue its financing and destruction of the Ukrainian population or to recognize the current realities and begin to negotiate”, stated Sergei Shoigu.
He also reported on the regional security situation in the South Caucasus, which remains complicated due to the “deplorable goals” of the West.
“This only confirms the thesis that regional problems require regional solutions,” Mr. Shoigu emphasized.
As you may recall, recently, Gizat Nurdauletov and Sergei Shoigu, Secretaries of the Security Councils of Kazakhstan and Russia, held consultations and signed the 2025-2027 cooperation plan. They had a conversation on regional security issues. The sides discussed countering international terrorism and extremism, as well as prospects for the development of the situation in the Caspian region. In addition, Mr. Shoigu and Mr. Nurdauletov discussed military cooperation.
