Sergei Lavrov and Murat Nurtleu “Compared their Notes” on Work Coordination within the CSTO, CIS, EAEU and SCO
On November 7, Sergei Lavrov, Russian Foreign Minister, arrived on a working visit to Astana, where he held talks with Murat Nurtleu, head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan.
The parties discussed political, economic, social and humanitarian cooperation and “compared their notes” on the coordination of work within the CSTO, CIS, EAEU and SCO.
They also signed a 2025-2026 action plan on cooperation between the two Ministries of Foreign Affairs.
According to Maria Zakharova, spokeswoman of the Russian Foreign Ministry, the talks focused on preparations for the planned state visit of Vladimir Putin, President of Russia, to Kazakhstan on November 27.
