Taalatbek Masadykov: New CSTO PA Program is the Legal Basis for Strengthening Security in the Organization's Member States
Taalatbek Masadykov, CSTO Secretary General, took part in the 5th meeting of Chairmen of the Committees and Commissions on International Affairs, Defence and Security of the Parliaments of the CSTO Member States.
In his speech, the CSTO Secretary General focused on the current military and political situation in the Organization's area of responsibility.
He stressed the importance of coordinating the legislative work of the CSTO countries in order to respond promptly to modern challenges and threats.
"Our priority is strengthening the role of interparliamentary cooperation. The new CSTO PA model legislation program, adopted on December 2025 at the meeting of the Parliamentary Assembly, is the legal basis for strengthening the security of the Organization's Member States," Taalatbek Masadykov said.
The meeting participants exchanged views on the role of parliamentary diplomacy in de-escalating tensions in the international arena.
