On April 15, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, President of Kazakhstan, arrived in Yerevan on a one-day official visit. The residence of the Armenian President hosted talks with restricted attendance between the Kazakh leader and Nikol Pashinyan, Armenian Prime Minister.
Kassym-Jomart Tokayev emphasized that Armenia and Kazakhstan have a significant potential for enhancing cooperation in a wide range of activities. The interlocutors paid particular attention to regional stability and security.
Nikol Pashinyan noted the dynamic development of mutual relations and expressed readiness to make joint efforts to bring these relations to a new level.
At the end of the negotiations with restricted attendance, the leaders emphasized their unwavering commitment to further strengthen comprehensive relations between Armenia and Kazakhstan.
Following the meeting, Mr. Tokayev and Mr. Pashinyan signed a Joint Statement and 10 documents on cooperation.
In addition, Yerevan and Astana, the capitals of Armenia and Kazakhstan, signed a twinning agreement. The document was signed today in Yerevan.
