On April 18, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, President of Kazakhstan, and Vladimir Putin, President of Russia, had a phone conversation. They discussed a number of issues, including preparations for the celebration of the 80th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War.
During the conversation, the leaders paid special attention to the significance of the upcoming anniversary. The President of Kazakhstan confirmed he'll attend the festivities to be held in Moscow on May 9.
In addition, the heads of state exchanged views on bilateral cooperation and discussed the schedule for future meetings. Vladimir Putin also shared his assessment of the current dialog between Russia and the United States with Mr. Tokayev.
The presidents emphasized that the 80th anniversary of the Victory is an important date for the peoples of both countries and expressed their intention to jointly celebrate the anniversary at a high level.
